MELBOURNE, 28 FEBRUARY 2013 – Guests to Crown Promenade over Easter will experience a visual feast with a delectable Lindt chocolate display in the hotel lobby by renowned installation artist Aimee McCallum. To celebrate Easter and Aimee’s colourful chocolate creation, Crown Promenade has designed a festive accommodation package for guests to experience an enticing Easter escape at the Melbourne hotel.

Aimee will create a delicious display constructed on a large silver birch tree adorned with glistening Lindor balls strung together to appear as a kaleidoscope of colours, shapes and designs. Delectable from root to leaf, the installation artwork, titled Kaleidoscopic Easter, reflects the chocolate Easter traditions and treats guests know and love in a fresh and artistic way.

Renowned for her creative displays throughout Melbourne, Aimee is unrivaled in window styling. Her visual merchandising skills have brought to life boutique Husk, T2 Tea, Safari Living, Klein’s Perfumery and recently her own stunning store Tiger & Peacock. Her penchant for combining colour, texture and hand-made elements create an awe-inspiring result, and her chocolate installation at Crown Promenade will be no different.

Aimee’s artistic inspiration for the Crown installation came from a European anecdote from Germany where a man decorated a silver birch tree with 80,000 eggs at Easter. Incorporating this European tradition, Aimee wanted to capture the electrifying colours of Lindt’s Lindor Balls and combine them with Crown Promenade’s striking lobby. Aimee states the design intends to “transport guests to a fantasy land and capture their attention whilst reflecting the spirit of family, heritage and tradition with a modern art-deco twist.”

Crown Promenade’s Easter Escape package to celebrate Aimee’s exclusive and exciting artwork will be available from 24 March to 14 April and will include;
• Overnight accommodation at Crown Promenade
• Buffet breakfast for two
• Valet parking
• Lindt chocolate surprise
Package priced from $275* a night
*Terms and conditions apply

Guests can also try their luck at guessing the number of Lindor balls within the Kaleidoscopic Easter installation for a chance to win a Crown Gifts Card valued at $2,500.
