Carded Play on a Gaming Machine
To play a Gaming Machine at Crown Melbourne you will need a Valid Card with time and loss limits set so you can play safely.
To obtain a Valid Card visit a Crown Service desk with a form of Acceptable Identification*, during your registration your photo will be taken and printed on your card.
Your time and loss limits are set in YourPlay, to save time you can set this up here before visiting Crown, or our friendly team can help you with this when registering for your Valid Card.

Electronic table Games
Carded Play on an Electronic Table Game
By 30 September 2025, a Valid Card will be required to enable all Electronic Table Games for play.
To help with these changes, from July 2025 areas of the casino floor will begin to transition over to Carded Play.
A Valid Card is an account that meets the following criteria:
- A photo ID printed on your card;
- Acceptable Identification* on account; and
- Must be opted in to receive a monthly Player Activity Statement.
